Hassle traffic, a hungry stomach, and a toxic environment, these are the biggest challenges that are mostly encountered on working in the corporate world. Not only that, many also deal with low compensation, slow career growth, and a zombie clock routine. Once upon a time I was once a dreamer and take a leap of faith to travel to Manila and hopefully find a decent and high earned-job. By God's grace, I was hired as a Customer Service Representative with Expedia an international travel Company despite of many rejections and environmental shock because I lived in a rural area. Every day was a struggle for me, I'm having trouble sleeping because I was not used to working on a graveyard shift. I worked with doubt and worries knowing that I might be terminated once I don't meet my everyday metrics. I gained a lot of weight for eating was one of my comfort zones to take all those stress hormones away from my mind and body. I have to deal with some people who are not genuinely happy with my presence around and sadly, payday might be some of our relievers for all the hardship we've been through but it's a nightmare coz at the end of the day I always got zero balance on my account. Then I decided to resign and go back home with my mother and daughter and just leave the life that I always dreamed of because I can't take it all anymore. Not knowing that I'm one step closer to the brighter sides of my story. I applied as an agent from a local company in our area and learned some techniques and ideas on how to begin working from home. Then I switched off on working from home with my borrowed laptop and luckily I was blessed to start as an ESL teacher. Everything was so smoothed and I enjoyed it a lot, I was able to meet different people and learn some basic things about their cultures and stories. Then there were these times when I read a lot of documentaries about how some successful people earned 6 digits a month from scratch to a high-end freelancer. I was amazed and imagine what it takes to be in that situation. I took my first moves, created and optimized some of my freelancing websites created, and pray that someone will respond to my applications and then one day my wish was granted when someone messages me back and hired me as a CSR on a UK-based company. And last year I found a day shift job, an Australian company that offers free energy-efficient products to the locality. The campaign was very effective and earned a good profit for our client despite the pandemic that affects most of us. I worked happily and productively, not only that I already earned good digits compared to my previous job before and I can say I already have a work-life balance. I am able to serve good foods on our table, pay bills and buy basic stuff without really minding the prices, and most importantly I was able to help my family financially. Maybe not earning 6 digits income as of the moment, however, I always work things out by God's guidance and wisdom. Life is tough and very challenging and we all know that those who quit never really win. Always fight and believe in what Jesus always says to His people that He really provides. Keep hustling :)
